TEC's Community Based Instructional Program's purpose is to teach students work skills in real-world community settings. The students volunteer in the community at local businesses, all while being supported by TEC Job Coaches. The Job Coaches provide monitoring of the students during their scheduled shifts and provide modeling and instruction on how to complete assigned tasks correctly. Students are referred to the CBVI program by their local school district. This program is available to students with special needs that are in need of workplace readiness skills to prepare them for life after high school graduation.
